Shomrei Torah Religious School (STaRS) welcomes children in grades K-7 into our nurturing, joyful and hands-on Jewish education program.

Our primary educational goals are to open a door to learning for every student and to foster a love of Jewish tradition and community. Our goal is that every child will be a lifelong participant in Jewish communal life.

To make Jewish education fully accessible to your family, we offer compelling programming, online materials for Hebrew study at home, family education opportunities, field trips, and an open-door policy for parents and guardians to volunteer. We expect our students to support and participate in the life of our synagogue, their Jewish community and the community at large.

Tuition assistance is available from the Billie Blumenthal Religious School Scholarship Fund.

Registration for the 2017-2018 year is open now! Click here to register!

A Torah to Live By – an introduction to Torah Study for STARS parents

Sundays December 3, 17 and January 7, 9:15am

This 3 session introductory course is for STARS parents who want to learn while their kids are in religious school. Limited to only 12 people, the class will meet with Rabbi George in his study from 9:15-10:45 on Sunday mornings when school is in session. The class has two goals: to give students the basic knowledge needed to feel comfortable with Torah Study at Shomrei Torah and on their own and to explore some teachings from the Torah that can enrich our daily lives. Our madrichim take on that responsibility by bringing in their own passions and knowledge, ensuring a healthy and positive learning and playing environment, and assisting in the overall process of the religious school day. Our madrichim learn vital skills to be Jewish educators.
