Shomrei Torah strives to provide meaningful Jewish education and events
for all of our children, including those between one and five years old.
For many years, the young families of Shomrei Torah have built a
community of old and new friends at our monthly, kid-friendly Tot Shabbat
morning services. Short and sweet, we sing songs, read stories, hear a
lay service and a "sermonette" by the Rabbi, do a craft project tied to
the topic of the day and end with a rousing Kiddush.
More and more in our Congregation, Holidays throughout the year are
marked by age-appropriate celebrations that teach and honor Jewish
tradition. A Hanukah party, a Purim carnival, a Seder dinner, and
classes for parents all help to weave the threads of our children's
ancestors into a warm and cozy blanket.
Tot families at Shomrei Torah include home-grown locals, as well as
families new to the area.
