Interfaith Families

Shomrei Torah Welcomes All

As many as half of all Shomrei Torah member households are comprised of families where one partner is not Jewish. In our religious school, the percentage of interfaith families is even higher. Our community draws few distinctions between those who are Jewish by birth, those who choose the path of conversion, and those who do not consider themselves Jewish. Indeed, many of our most engaged and active members are the non-Jewish spouses and partners of Jewish members.

For those interested in learning more about Judaism or wish to explore conversion, Shomrei Torah regularly offers a variety of instructional classes and informational programs, and our rabbis are available to meet privately with interested individuals. Please call the office to learn more.
