A friend of Shomrei Torah has offered his treasured piece of Zionist art to go to a good Jewish home where it will be appreciated. If the vase is sold to a member of the CST community, the donor will donate 50% of the sales proceeds to CST's needy general fund!
The vase is 12.5" tall, made of heavy brass, and has a design far more intricate than many of the artist's works currently visible on the internet. It features overlay/inlay work in copper and another unknown metal. The vase shows its age, being somewhat tarnished and dented. The bottom of the vase bears the markings "Alfred Salzmann" and Palestine Jerusalem", indicating it was crafted by noted artist Alfred Salzmann, probably between 19101920 when he was teaching at the Bezalel School in Jerusalem.
The vase will be on display in the display cabinet in Shalom Hall.
Bidding closes on Monday, December 20 at 12:00 noon.
 The minimum bid is $1,500.00.
Bids can be delivered in person to Denise Harrison or Fran Brumlik, or sent via email to
