Congregation Shomrei Torah's New Synagogue

Congregation Shomrei Torah will break ground for its new synagogue in late Spring, 2004. Phase I is scheduled to be completed in October, 2005. The 11,000 sq. ft. building will combine traditional and modern elements and will include the sanctuary, offices, a commercial kitchen, and classrooms. Administration offices and the school will move to a second building in Phase II and the area next to the sanctuary will become a social hall.

The synagogue, designed by Craig Roland of Glass Architects, will incorporate stained glass windows and an ark, designed by internationally renowned artists, David & Michelle Plachte-Zuieback. Acoustics are being fine tuned by Kirkegaard Co., who worked on the remodel of Carnegie Hall.

Congregation Shomrei torah is looking forward to welcoming guests and prospective members to our new home.
